MONAGHAN'S finest Shane McGuirk has fired his way into the WDF World Championships final at the Lakeside with another stunning performance.

The Arrow blew his Belgian opponent Francois Schweyen away with a 5-0 victory which means he has made it all the way to Sunday's decider without dropping a set.

As like all his previously games this week, McGuirk heavily outscored his opponent as he hit six 180s and averaged 92.72 to advance to the final.

He gave Schweyen an early warning of what was in store when he broke him in the first leg of the match and wrapped up the first set before his opponent had a chance to draw breath.

McGuirk ensured he had a 2-0 lead at the break when he added the second set by winning the fifth and crucial leg in 15 darts.

He returned after the break and rattled off six straight legs in breakneck speed to extend his lead to 4-0.

The fourth set also saw McGuirk polish off the last two legs with impressive 117 and 102 checkouts.

He was in no mood to give his opponent a sniff as he won the fifth set by dropping just one leg and now heads into the final as raging hot favourite to win the World Championships.

McGuirk will return to the Lakeside stage tomorrow for the final against either veteran Paul Lim or American Jason Brandon.
