The beauty about darts is that there is no age limit or timeframe for success.
If you are good enough and play well enough then anything is possible when you step up on the oche.
That much was proven on Friday night when teenage sensation Luke Littler won the PDC World Darts Championships at just his second attempt.
On the same night, Monaghan darts stalwart Marty Burke was crowned the county singles champion after 21 years of trying.
Marty, who will be lining out for Monaghan in the INDO Inter County A Championships next month, came through a tough field of players including some former Ireland internationals to win the trophy.
And just to emphasis how age is no barrier in darts, Marty's teenage son, James - no doubt a future champion himself - was one of those to take part.
As fate would have it, Marty even got to beat the man who knocked his son out in an earlier round, James McCarron, in the final.
Marty's reward was to claim the trophy last won by his fellow Aughnamullen man, and new WDF World Champion, Shane McGuirk.
