Sunday Shoutout: James Morris and Jamie French

THE growing strength of darts in Ireland can be measured by the conveyor belt of incredible talent coming through the youth ranks.

Two players who are certainly making their mark are Westmeath Youths player James Morris and rising Carlow star Jamie French.

Both have shown over recent days just what they are all about with amazing feats on the dart board.

James, an INDO Boy National Singles winner and Irish Open finalist last year, is regularly the JDC Eire's highest weekly scorer at the JDC Challenge.

This week alone he hit a phenomenal score of 1786, and to prove that's no fluke the week previous he hit 1759!

He is certainly one hot prospect to keep a close eye on in the coming years.

Another is Carlow hotshot Jamie French, an All Ireland Youth winner with his county last year.

This weekend at the Carlow Challenge Cup, involving an impressive 39 youth teams from around Ireland, Jamie casually reeled in the Big Fish.

His incredible 170 finish was even more remarkable as it came after just the first game had been finished on Friday night.

One thing's for sure, young Jamie won't be finished with such heroics into the future!
