Sunday Shoutout - Aidan O'Hara

AS Super Sundays go, they don't come much better than the one enjoyed by the brilliant Aidan O'Hara today.

The rising Tipperary star came into the final INDO Boys ranking event of the year needing to win it to stand any chance of making it onto the Ireland team for the WDF World Cup in South Korea.

And that's exactly what he did as he came through a packed field to land the Irish Boys Trophy.

That gave him the ten ranking points he needed to finish joint-second in the INDO Boys ranking table.

Remarkably the player who Aidan beat in the final of the Irish Boys Trophy, Donegal's Shane Porter, is the player he also finished equal with in the rankings.

So the pair had to play each other in a nail-biting play-off to get the second spot on the Ireland team for the World Cup - alongside the top ranked Jack Courtney - and Aidan came out on top again.

To top it off, Aidan also took part in the INDO Men's Irish Trophy, and beat some serious opponents there to make it all the way to the quarter finals.

This is one young player with a very bright future ahead of him!
