WATERFORD'S Dean Finn and Cork's John O'Shea fell just short of gaining a PDC Tour Card on the final day of action at Q School.
NO LUCK:
There was to be no luck for the Irish in the end, despite some superb performances throughout the week.
Finn put himself in contention over the final two days by picking up three ranking points, but ultimately it was well short of the six needed.
He was the best of the Irish today, making it to the last 32 before losing in a last leg decider to Callum Goffin of Wales at that stage.
Finn would have needed a run to the last four today to have secured a tour card.
Meanwhile, O'Shea will be kicking himself as two more wins today would have seen him secure a card.
He finished the week on four points, when six could have got him over the line.
Both players finished in the top 25 in the Order of Merit, with the top nine winning tour cards alongside the four daily winners.
