LIMERICK'S Michael Flynn capped off a fine few days for him at the PDC Challenge Tour by making it to the last four of event 5.

Flynn proved to be the best Irish performer across the three days of action in Milton Keynes and finished off his weekend with a bit of a flourish.

He won no less six games as he picked up a lot of crucial ranking money that will see him sit high in the early PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit.#

He began his day with a whitewash win over Tommie Coleman of England,  before beating another English opponent in Karl Williams to advance to the last 64.

He kept his nerve to win a last leg decider over Sweden's Anton Ostlund, before average an impressive 95.66 as he beat Australia's Brandon Weening in their last 32 clash.

Flynn was finished yet, though, as he then beat Thomas Keenan of Wales 5-2 to set up a quarter final clash with top Swedish player Andreas Harrysson.

He was in flying form in that encounter as he averaged a stunning 102.95 to beat Harrysson 5-0.

However his run came to an end in the last four when he lost 5-2 to Holland's Danny Jansen.

It still proved to be a brilliant weekend for Flynn, who had earlier made the last 16 in event 2 and will be sitting high in the ranking table.
