Offaly darts sensation Ronan McDonagh has qualified for the Modus Super Series for the second time after winning another ADC Ireland regional finals today.

McDonagh, who made it all the way to the final on his debut on the Modus Super Series back in February, will now get another crack at it after a brilliant day for him in Tullamore.

He put in a running average of 91.89 as he won five tough tests on the trot to claim the coveted MSS qualifying spot.

McDonagh began his day with a 6-2 win over fellow Offaly man, Johnny O'Reilly, posting an impressive 92.83 average.

He was in even more deadly form in his last 16 clash with Roscommon's Sean Fleming, running out as a 6-1 winner.

That put McDonagh through to a quarter final against another player to have previously qualified for Modus, Dublin's Killian McCormack, and he again came out on top with a 6-3 victory.

McDonagh then put in his best average of the day in his 6-2 win over Clare star Oisin Monaghan in the semi-finals, to set up a blockbuster clash in the final against another Offaly man, and current Republic of Ireland captain, Stephen Rosney.

Despite Rosney averaging 100.23 in a high class final, he couldn't overcome McDonagh, who recorded a 6-4 victory to take the Modus qualifying spot.
