MONAGHAN'S Shane McGuirk enjoyed his best run so far, winning four games on his way to a last 16 finish at PDC Challenge Tour 4.
The Arrow put together a string of wins after opening the event with a 5-2 win over Germany's Michael Rosenauer.
He repeated the same score line as he overcame Joe Croft in his next match, while recording a 93.44 average.
McGuirk needed to be even batter in his next match to see off England's Carl Wilson in a last leg decider, as he hit a 95.88 average.
That set him on his way to a last 32 clash with James Parkin, which McGuirk won 5-2.
Howber his run came to an end when Ted Evetts beat him 5-3 to advance to the quarter finals.
McGuirk will be aiming to go a couple of stages further tomorrow when the last of this block of Challenge Tour events will be held.
