DONEGAL men's team captain Cartha Boyle says they are looking forward to the challenge of trying to retain their INDO Inter-Counties title in Killarney this weekend.
No county has come close to the record 13 Inter-Counties titles that Donegal have won over the years, and Ireland international Boyle says they are keen to add to that tally.
However he warned that other counties will now be desperate to stop them in their tracks.
Speaking to Highland Radio ahead of the trip to Killarney, Boyle said: "We are very much looking forward to it, as it is the highlight of our year.
"But this year I get the feeling there is a big bullseye on our back and others are hoping to knock us off our perch and that is what sport is all about.
"That is what we're hoping for and that bit of pressure should help us focus that bit more."
It comes as the INDO has made the draw for the 25 county competition, which has been split into five groups of five.
Top seeds Donegal have been drawn out to play in the same group as Westmeath, Clare, Mayo and Kildare.
Boyle said Mayo, who recently won the West Coast Challenge, will be one to watch out for this year.
He added: "There's something about that Mayo team, there's a lot of heart and a lot of depth in it."
The 2023 champions Dublin, who lost last year's final to Donegal, have been drawn out in Group 2 alongside Cavan, Galway, Sligo and Waterford.
In Group 3, the seeded teams Roscommon and Limerick have been joined by Meath, Kerry and Longford, while Group 4 sees last year's beaten semi-finalists Carlow pitted against fellow seeds Wexford, Laois, Leitrim and Louth.
Meanwhile in Group 5, the seeds Monaghan and Cork will face tough ties against Offaly, Kilkenny and Tipperary.
