Heneghan into Group B after four more Modus wins

CONOR Heneghan has moved into Group B at the Modus Super Series after enjoying his best day yet with four wins out of five.

The Mayo man was in excellent form as he completed Group A on a high, finishing in second place behind group winner David Evans.

Heneghan finished with a healthy tally of 18 points to leapfrog over legendary figures like Steve Beaton and Richie Burnett to take his place in Group B.

He began his day with a win in a last leg decider against Burnett, before defeating Lukasz Waclawski 4-1 to keep his hopes of winning Group A alive.

Those hopes remained alive when he edged past Beaton 4-3 in a tense game, but with group leader Evans also maintaining a winning streak, second place looked to be the best Heneghan could do.

He secured that with another victory over Justin Heaver, but lost out to Evans in his final game to finish six points behind the group winner.

However he will go into Group B with confidence tomorrow following his excellent run today.
