CONOR Heneghan is edging closer to a return to finals night at the Modus Super Series after winning all but one of his opening four Group B games.
The Mayo man has a knack of always qualifying for the finals on Saturday and looks well on his way to doing so again after his latest strong showing.
After finishing second in Group A, Heneghan kept his good form going last night by winning his first three games on the trot.
His night began with an impressive 4-2 win over Adrian Gray, and then he kept his nerve to wrap up a last leg win over David Pallett with a stunning 12-dart leg.
Heneghan's next victim was veteran Steve Beaton as he came out on top with a 4-2 win to streak to the top of the Group B table.
However he finished the night second in the table behind Adrian Gray after losing his final match to Joe Murnan 4-0.
The group remains tight, but with three to qualify finals night, Heneghan is well placed to gain one of those spots.
