CONOR Heneghan's excellent run at the Modus Super Series ended at the semi-final stage tonight as the Mayo man once again did himself proud at the event.
After qualifying for finals night through Group B, Heneghan's first goal tonight was to qualify for the semi-finals through Group 2.
He did that with relative ease after opening his night with an impressive 4-1 win over Adrian Gray.
The comprehensive nature of that win meant Heneghan only needed two legs in his next match with Justin Heaver, and he managed that, despite losing the game 4-2.
That set up a semi-final with Grouo A winner David Evans, and while Heneghan showed plenty of fight, he unfortunately came out on the wrong end of a last leg decider as Evans went on to win the week.
It means just one Irish player so far, in the shape of Shane McGuirk has qualified for Champions Week at the end of this month.
