IRISH darts star Ronan McDonagh says it's a "dream come true" as he prepares to take on the Modus Super Series finals night tonight.

However the Offaly tungsten thrower has vowed there is even more to come as he qualified for finals night with relative ease on his debut in the competition.

McDonagh rounded off a stunning week for him so far when he picked up the two wins he needed in Group B on Friday night to claim one of the three qualifying spots.

Speaking afterwards, a relieved Ronan said: "It's absolutely brilliant, it's a dream come true I suppose."

Despite his success so far, McDonagh, the reigning INDO inter-county B singles champion, says he's not completely satisfied with how he is playing.

He added: "To be honest, I'm still not happy. I know what I can do and I will do at some stage.

"I'm hitting low 80s and high 80s but I have a lot more in the tank. Hopefully I can just up it a slight bit more."

He'll certainly need to be in top form tonight, as he's been landed in a tough Group 2 alongside Charlie Large and Sam Spivey.

The top two from that group of three will advance to the semi-finals when the action gets underway at 7.30pm tonight.
